NOTICE OF ELECTION TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF BULLOCH COUNTY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 4, 2025 an election will be held at the regular polling places in all the voting precincts of Bulloch County, Georgia (the "County"), at which time there will be submitted to the qualified voters of the County for their determination the question of whether, pursuant to Article 2B of Chapter 8 of Title 48 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, a local option sales and use tax of one percent shall be imposed in the County for a period of time of five years with the proceeds to be used exclusively to reduce property taxes imposed by Bulloch County and the Municipalities of Statesboro, Brooklet, Portal, and Register. The ballots to be used in said election shall have written or printed thereon substantially the following: ( ) YES Shall a special 1 percent sales and use tax be imposed for 5 years within the special district of Bulloch County with the proceeds ( ) NO used exclusively to reduce property taxes imposed by Bulloch County and the Municipalities of Statesboro, Brooklet, Portal, and Register? The several places for holding said election shall be at the regular and established polling places of the voting precincts of the County, and the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the date fixed for the election. Citizens who are not registered to vote may register in the office of the Bulloch County Board of Elections and Registration, 113 North Main Street, Suite 201, Statesboro, Georgia, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., or as otherwise allowed by law. The last day to register to vote in this election shall be October 6, 2025. Those residents of the County qualified to vote at said election shall be determined in all respects in accordance with the election laws of the State of Georgia.
